Project Forwarding

How does one define Project forwarding?
Someone once said the difference between project forwarding
as opposed to other forms of freight forwarding is that for
general forwarding the client might say when can I deliver my goods to you,
whereas for projects the forwarder says when can I collect.

Our definition is slightly different. We believe the best definition
of project forwarding is “A door to door transportation service
where in most instances neither the collection or delivery locations
are the premises of the client” (i.e. Equipment supplier to fabrication yard).

Greentrans & Logistics Sp.z.o.o is staffed with Project Forwarding Professionals,
led by a management team whose members have up to 10-year experience in the industry.

Corporate Forwarding

This is our definition of freight forwarding work undertaken on an ongoing basis on behalf
of a client rather than project work which has a precise start and finish to the activity.

To use, this is where the difference in definition should end.
The service provided should be no less for either type of client.

Greentrans & Logistics Sp.z.o.o have the experience and know how,
to provide the ultimate level of service.

Our prime aim is to ensure we have satisfied clients.
This can only be achieved through providing a safe and efficient service
whilst ensuring the provision of information such as
shipment status is as efficient as the service itself.

Air freight

Greentrans & Logistics Sp.z.o.o is highly experienced in airfreight
of various shipments regardless whether it is PAX OK or
CAO OK (from general cargo to nucleonic – radioactive goods)
and has established working cooperation with most of airlines,
especially SilkWay Airlines, Lufthansa, CargoLux which enables us
to ensure timely arrival of cargo as booked and avoid delays in transshipment
airports (for example LUX) which is often the case. We also have wide experience
in arranging air charters (IL75, AN-124, B-747) from various origins to Baku.
Our philosophy is if client  opted air we have to deliver cargo
in a timely manner which is the whole purpose of airfreight.

Road Freight

Road freight is all time solution for shipments
originating in EU with 2 possible routes to Baku.
Pros & Cons of both are outlined as below:

  • Northern Route via Russia
  • Southern Route via Turkey and Georgia
  • Transit time is almost the same, circa 13-15 days depending on origin
  • Escort is required via Northern Route if cargo value is over 100K USD
  • Financially Northern Route is Cheaper than Southern Route

Rail Freight

Rail freight is second best option for bulk and out of gauge shipments
when canal is closed, and even when canal is open for consignees
who have got their own rail spur which minimizes destination handling charges.
At the moment rail is possible via Georgia and Russia.
Turkish Route is under construction. Transit time from either Poti or Batumi to Baku
is 3-6 days subject to congestion. It is also ideal for container shipments
where gross weight is in excess of allowed 10T per axle for road.
Direct Rail from EU to Baku is possible with circa 25 days transit time,
but not recommended for time sensitive shipments as cargo often get delayed
in transshipment stations due to unavailability of Azerbaijan Railcars as our experience demonstrated.
